Way To Go, Cappy!

So yesterday, I was so bored in my pad. As I am about to take a nap during that afternoon, a great friend invited me to watch a flick. Thanks man for treating me, I appreciated it much brother! I was kinda late but I was able still to see it in theaters. Yeah! It was first shown last July 22 and I've had the opportunity to view it just last night around 9 PM at Greenbelt 1. Okay, late movie watcher here. Hehehe.

I am a big fan of Captain America. I've also watched the 1990 film of it, the very first film of Cappy. In that story, it was revealed that it's not only Adolf Hitler is his enemy but also Johann Schmidt aka Red Skull. Cappy was experimented as one of the new Super Soldier of America while Schmidt importunately  infused a drug to make him stronger and create a war. A man of valor indeed.

Now, it's way better. Captain America: The First Avenger is an awesome film made for this century. The crew really nailed it when the story was occurred on Nazi's era. They have made it according to the real story of Cappy (which I've mentioned above). Yes, for those who didn't watch the first Captain America movie, for sure you will never like the old setting of it. Plus, for those did not know Captain America fully then you'll gonna be confused also. I thought that if another hero movie will hit the theaters in the 21st century, for sure the filming crew will make new story-line which is certainly giving a new twist out of the real story of each and every character of a superhero (just like X-Men, and others). But in this case, they really set it all back where Captain America was created. Pure genius.

Chris Evans: Human Torch and Captain America. Double hero performance.

Although the crew made a great point to stepping it in the original story-line, they have made a big down low to casting. I really hate it when they change the actor in hero movies and also re-use them as a different character in the same comic book world. I mean, it's really a big shame on the casters for picking those great and talented actors. For example, Ryan Reynolds as Dead Pool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and now he is Al Jordan in Green Lantern. In this case, it's Chris Evans in Fantastic Four as Human Torch and him again as Steve Rogers or Captain America. I mean, do producers have the talent to see other actors' skills to portray? Do they really don't love actors known as Mr. Captain America only and not Mr. Captain America/Human Torch? Wow, just wow.

Although this seems to be an issue in double hero performance, I do love how Mr. Evans turned the performance well. He's like the sexually-driven man on Fantastic Four and here on Cappy, he's the patriotic guy who serves the his country wholeheartedly. I guess that's the essence of it. As long as you portray the role well and the viewers see you as that hero that you are trying to depict, there will be no problem with regards to double hero casting. I'm talking here not the Captain America itself but for those hero movies who are having this type of casting. It's REALLY not the actors fault. 

Captain America: The First Avenger movie for me is cool and not that shabby. Technically speaking, I'll rate it as 7 out of 10. Well of course, reasons why I've rated this movies were stated above. Definitely a movie to watch and be shared for future generations.

Hopefully, The Avengers movie will have a great plot, and when I said great it means that it follows the original story which is based on the comics and not another story made by the crew. Avid hero fans, need I say more to this awesome hero flick? Imagine, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Nick Fury and Hawkeye! One big combo. All I can say is, DAYUMN!
